His journey began with exceptional academic performance, graduating with MBBS in 1985, followed by MS in 1989, and achieving the prestigious position of topper in MCh CVTS from PGIMER in 1995. This strong foundation laid the groundwork for a career marked by groundbreaking innovations and life-saving procedures.

As Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at SMS Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur, Dr. Sharma has not only performed over 25,000 complex surgeries but has also revolutionized cardiac care in North India through his pioneering work in heart transplantation and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
